I would like to thank the Municipality of Manduria for granting me the patronage of the municipality and the use of the logo for my project.

Manduria is a beautiful town equidistant from Taranto, Lecce and Brindisi and is known as the City of the Messapians and the Primitivo.

It was one of the most important Messapian centres, as can be seen from parts of the megalithic walls and the necropolis.

The old town is characterised by narrow, winding streets and the Jewish ghetto.

What to see? Palazzo Imperiali (built in 1719), the Mother Church (XV-XVI century), in front of the Mother Church passing through a large arch you enter the Jewish quarter, with houses that have maintained the characteristics of the period dating back to the XV century, then the Archaeological Park of the Messapian Walls and again the Fonte Pliniano (most probably dating back to the Messapian period).

The sea with its clear, clean water and the cuturi forest.

And much more besides.

Manduria è una splendida cittadina equidistante da Taranto, Lecce e Brindisi ed è detta la Città dei Messapi e del Primitivo.

Fu uno dei centri messapici più importanti e lo testimoniano parti delle mura megalitiche e le necropoli.

Il borgo antico è caratterizzato da stradine strette e tortuose e dal ghetto degli ebrei.

Cosa vedere? Palazzo Imperiali (costruito nel 1719), la Chiesa Madre (XV-XVI secolo), di fronte alla Chiesa Madre oltrepassando un grande arco si entra nel quartiere ebraico, con le case che hanno mantenuto le caratteristiche dell’epoca risalenti al XV secolo, poi il Parco Archeologico delle Mura Messapiche e ancora il Fonte Pliniano (molto probabilmente risalente all’epoca messapica).

Il mare dall’acqua limpida e pulita e il bosco dei cuturi.
